  Sad Farewell to Corey Rudl

Benjamin Miles Keaton, 39, and his passenger, Corey Nicholas Rudl, 34, died from injuries after Keaton lost control of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT during an event at the California Speedway in Fontana sponsored by the San Diego chapter of the Ferrari Owners Club. The two men were killed when their race car left the track, spun to a grassy area and collided with a retaining wall. The vehicle made a passenger-side impact at more than 100 mph. The engine caught fire, according to a San Bernardino authorities, but was quickly extinguished. On-site medical personnel responded at 10:40am and pronounced Rudl dead at the scene, but Keaton was airlifted to Loma Linda University Hospital, where he died about an hour later. Niether suffered burns, but despite safety gear including their helmets and belts, both men had multiple traumatic injuries which ultimately resulted in their deaths.

Corey Rudl was best known for his Internet marketing expertise and flagship sites MarketingTips.com and SecretsToTheirSuccess.com. Corey started online marketing back in 1994, where he sold an ebook called "Car Secrets Revealed". He was one of the first marketers to make serious money online, and was the owner of 4 companies which collectively gross $6,600,000 in sales per year.

These accounts were also reported by the LA Times and NBC 4 Tv.

Comments:

He was killed instantly.

Corey died as he lived - going full out
and holding nothing back.

You might know that Corey was a marketing genius.
You might have bought one of his products or visited
his site.

He was one of the very first people on the planet
to build an affiliate program, and he was the first
to apply many offline DM methods to online marketing.

You might not know that Corey was married
only recently.

Corey was only 34.

Please take a moment to pray for Corey's wife
and extended family.

If you would like to send a card or your condolences
to his family or staff the address is:

1123 Fir Ave
Blaine, WA
98230

And please take a moment out of your day to tell your
own family how very much you love them, and then keep
doing that every day for the rest of your life.

We'll miss you Corey.

Sincerely,

Helena Ericson

Frankly, I thought this was so unreal. So I checked his marketingtips.com
site and called their main office ...but sure enough the office was closed.

Corey Rudl has played a very significant role in my own marketing
education. Corey was always light years ahead of everybody else.
He was one of the first people on the planet to build an affiliate
program, and he was the first to apply many offline Direct Marketing
methods to online marketing. Heck, I think he invented the unstoppable
POP-UP before people knew what a pop-up was. Corey was a very
high-bandwidth guy - you could just hear it in his voice whenever
he spoke.

He has taught thousands his good, solid brand of Internet
Marketing, and was - and will remain - a legend.

He was just 34 and recently married to the love of his life - Tracy
back in the fall. You remember ? The wedding of the century held
out in Orange County, CA last September I think.

Please join me in a time of mourning and grief and prayer
for Corey Rudl, his family, and all people involved.

A great one was taken from our midst - say a prayer won't you
today? That God will make each day count from this day forward!

People, Life is short - do what you love. Don't wait - for there
may not be another tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Christopher Johnson

I only met Corey once, in fact it was only a few
weeks ago. He came up to me at a seminar and
introduced himself. That was an honor, because
Corey played a very significant role in my own
marketing education, especially in the early years.
His was the first "Internet Marketing" product I ever
bought, back in 1998 if memory serves. I learned a
lot from his email newsletter, and many practices he
pioneered are standard today. He was one
of the very first people on the planet to build
an affiliate program, and he was the first to
apply many offline DM methods to online
marketing.

All of us will miss him. I hope you'll take
a moment of silence to be thankful for the
influence of an industry leader, and to remember
the brevity of life. It is precious.

If you would like to send his family or staff
your condolences, the address is

1123 Fir Ave
Blaine, WA
98230

Sincerely,

Perry Marshall

He has taught thousands his good, solid brand of Internet
Marketing, and was - and will remain - a legend.

He was 34, and just recently married.

Please join us in grief and positive prayer for Corey
Rudl, his family, and all people involved.

A great one is taken.

Life is short - do what you love.

Corey was passionate about racing.

Sincerely,

Ted Ciuba

This makes you realize once more that you should count your blessings and enjoy each day.
It could all be over tomorrow...

I am sure you will join with me in offering sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Paul Hendrix

I was especially shocked because Corey and I were
swapping online business strategies at Yanik Silver's
Underground Online Marketing Seminar about a month
ago. I also interviewed him for an article that
has seen wide online circulation.

But Corey's online success is behind him now. Sadly,
he also leaves behind a wife he recently married.
Tragedies remind us of what's really important.

In the final analysis, what really count in life
aren't our bank balances, material possessions, or
social status.

What really count are the intangible things.
Things that price tags can't be put on.

If there's one advantage to a successful online
business, is that it can give us more time and
freedom to pursue more important things in life...

But it's up to us to choose to pursue them.

P.S. To read the article where I interviewed Corey
or to learn about his past e-business success, search
Google for "Marty Foley + Corey Rudl", without quotes.

Corey was a mentor to millions of people world wide and he will
be greatly missed. I know I personally feel a heaviness in my
heart as Corey was and always will be one of the most influential
marketers ever known.

I am sad taht I never got the chance to meet him personally and
that I opted to not go to his last seminar, I had no idea it
would be his last.

Please take a moment to say a prayer for his family and close
friends.

If you would like to send any condolences to his family or staff
please use this address:

Blaine, WA

It's taken me a long time to figure out what I wanted
to write to you all. Something has to be said though.
It's hard to sort through the multitude of thoughts and
memories that are bouncing around in my head right now,
starting with the absolute shock that I felt when I
read Jim Boere's newsletter this morning and heard about
the death of Corey Rudl.
Years of memories, starting with becoming an affiliate,
so long ago - or so it seems now, the money that I've
made, the lessons that I've learned, the arguments I've
had with his staff (always amicably resolved though),
and the deals that we've made and the ones that we tried
to put together.
There is no sense to be made of this loss, to Corey's
family, to those who worked with him, to those who knew
him, to those who learned his lessons, to the internet
as a whole. It's one of those times where you shake your
head and say, 'why?'.
He does leave behind a legacy though, one that will
endure for years to come, the well deserved legacy of a
man who not only talked the talk, but walked the walk as
well.
There are lessons all through our life, and lessons to be
learned from Corey's untimely death as well.

THERE IS NO TOMORROW - it's always today, no matter what
day it is.
While we can PLAN for tomorrow, we can't wait for it,
because it may never come.
Every morning that we wake up is a great start to any day,
make the most of it before it becomes yesterday.
Don't put things off till tomorrow, it starts as only one
thing, then becomes a habit, and finally a mindset.
This doesn't just apply to the internet, or marketing, or
anything in particular. This is a life lesson.
What becomes of your wife, your husband, your children,
your friends, your business, even your pets, if you don't
wake up tomorrow?
If it happened to you, and you were still able to look down
and view what you had left behind, what would you wish that
you had done before you had gone?

SO DO IT - NOW!

Whether it's that trip to Fiji, making a business decision,
watching a movie, getting life insurance, eating an exotic
food, or telling your significant other or a family member
that you love them.

DO IT - NOW. There is no tomorrow. Regardless of what it is,
if it needs to be done - do it now.

That's the immutable law of the unexpected - you can't plan
for it. It just happens - today, not tomorrow.

Corey Rudl - Rest in Peace. You will be remembered by many.
My condolences to his family, friends, co-workers, students
and peers.
Though we can never take away the pain that you're feeling,
may there be some small comfort in knowing that there are
many that feel the void, the vacuum that his passing has left.

Regards,
Stuart Halpryn

P.S.
Feel free to pass my thoughts on as and to whom you see fit,
but please include my signature at the end.

If you read The NINJI Letter you know that Corey was one of my mentors. His marketing articles and methods helped to change how people make money on the internet. His was a success story that will live on in the pages of internet marketing history.

With Extreme Sadness,
David Rollins

I did not know Corey personally, all I know is that he
was a well-known online marketer.

One thing I do know, is... life is very fleeting, and
tomorrow's never guaranteed.

Not for you... not for me... not for anyone.

If I'm honest about it, sometimes I work W-A-A-A-Y too
many hours and I neglect the things I shouldn't be neglecting,
like my family.

But I think I'll take the rest of this weekend off.

Why don't you follow my lead and do the same thing --
it really is O.K., and... you'll thank me for it on Monday.

Don't sell anything today -- just relax.

Read a book.... kiss your partner... go lay down and
take a nap... or, give your kids a big hug, and bury your
face down inside the soft warm crook of their necks, and
smell their smell.

I know I will.

Have a good one.

P.S. If you know someone else who should relax today,
forward them this e-mail message.

Do it for both of you.

Today, I wake up, grab my laptop in bed, and I get
an email. "Shocking News - Did you see this?"

So the first thing I did was get on messenger with my
friend Michael Rasmussen to confirm and it was true.

Then I went to the warrior forum and there were 9
threads and hundreds of replies.

My heart sunk.

I will not claim to have known Cory, to have met him,
or to have spoken to him.

All we had was a replies in 1 thread about ClickBank
a few months ago in a forum. I am sure he never heard
of me.

But I will say that I admired Cory and my goal was to
learn everything I could about him. I started to model
him from a course I purchased from him. I was going to
model is affiliate programs.

I planned on studying him for years to come. It was
weird, because I had heard of him for a long time, but
my ego would not let me buy from him.

Then when I did, I put in his models and strategies and
I saw instant results.

Cory started I think in 1997 and pioneered ebooks and
sequential email and affiliate programs. He was a step
ahead and one you would want to learn from.

You are blessed to have been a customer of his as their
will not be many more chances to learn from him.

*** Why I titled this 'Perspective' ****

Well, as you may know, since Tuesday my site
InstantBuzz.com has been down and I have been working
24/7 to get it back up.

So many good members have been so supportive. We should
be back up later today or tomorrow.

If you want that story go here
http://www.1sitemanager.com/helpdesk/

But I woke up in a bad mood over this fiasco, and all
woe is me.

Then I got slapped in the face with a reality check
when I heard a real tragedy today.

It really put things in perspective for me. I am signing
off the PC today after I try to get some IB things done.

I encourage all of you to do the same and go spend time
with your families today.

Call your:
Mom
Dad
Sister/Brother
Kids

and tell them you love them.

Go enjoy the day away from the PC -

God Bless Cory Rudl and may he rest in peace with
the Lord.

My hearts and prayers go out to his friends and family
and this time.

You will be missed Cory :-(

Mike Filsaime

P.S. - If you want to share your thoughts and feelings
about this with other members today,

please do so here:

Please no signature files today with your post.
Let this be a tribute to Cory.

I will try to to get this to his family later
next week.

I'm saddened and my condolences to his wife
and family, and I hope your prayers will be with
them too.

Life is fragile and in the words of a famous song,
you "don't know what you've got till it's gone".

Corey's passion for life and his work is something
we can all take a page from.

Treasure your life, family and give thanks for what
you've now, live the moment.

The moment is yours now.
Ewen

I'm shocked and I couldn't believe the story until I saw
those news clippings. Even after seeing the clips, I still
hope that the news be a hoax.

"We miss you Corey"

Let God rest his soul in peace and give strength to his
family and friends to take them through this tragedy.

It's really sad to see such a talented individual leave
the world like that…

For the rest of us, do offer a moment of silence and
prayer. May his soul rest in peace

Hi Thalia,

I'm writing to you to give you a quick update to questions
that you and others have asked me in regards to Corey Rudl.
In particular, those interested in sending notes and messages
to the family of Corey Rudl are asked to do so THIS WEEK
and send them to the following address:

Internet Marketing Center
c/o Family and Friends of Corey Rudl
400-1155 West Pender Street
Vancouver, BC V6E2P4

I also saw on their IMC website a very fitting tribute
to Corey. You can view it here:

http://www.marketingtips.com

In regards to funeral arrangements, all funeral and memorial
services for Corey Nicholas Rudl will be held in his home town
of Vancouver, BC. Corey's family will have his funeral sometime
later this week. But, there will also be planned for NEXT Week
a general memorial service which FAMILY AND FRIENDS can attend
to pay their respects if they wish.

When speaking with their headquarters at IMC, it was suggested
that messages and notes be sent to the family ASAP.
All those messages and notes will be given to the family
and probably posted on a website maybe (not sure on this)
by next week.

I hope to have the details on the general memorial service that
all can attend if they wish when those details are available.

Thalia to tell you the truth, I'm still in denial
that this ever happened. The Internet Marketing world has lost
a great friend, mentor and inspiration for the entrepreneurs
who strive to have their own business.

I will miss him alot...

Best regards,

Christopher

Hey there Blogger, What a great post! Blogging has become such a 'must do' in online marketing that I am a little embarassed to say I haven't even started my own as yet. Hence this is why I am here putting in my two cents on your blog Sad Farewell to Corey Rudl. I've been searching for viral scripts related blogs to get a feel for how this blogging is done and in my search I ran across your blog. While our interest may not be an exact match I couldn't help but take the time to read your posts and found it a breath of fresh air. You have really articulated, very well I might add, some of the thoughts I've had on my mind for quite a while. Even though viral scripts is my forte I'll be back to read future posts. Your post makes for great reading. Thanks!
